Woodpeckers week 6 2026 Autumn 1

Hello all. This week has been full of super learning. Forest School this week took us on a bird and bug hunt. The children spotted several green leaf bugs and found families of woodlice, hiding under bark in the forest undergrowth. In tennis, the children continued to practise their forehand and back hand passess. In Topic, we have been learning about the Battles of Stamford Bridge and Hastings. Our writing this week has been focussing in on how to construct exciting paragraphs using dialogue, powerful one word sentences and descriptive long sentences. Finally, In PSHE we thoguht about manners and how we need these every day.
