Woodpeckers Summer 2 week 7
Date: 17th Jul 2025 @ 8:29am
Welcome to our final class blog of the year. The children have worked tremendously hard this year and have risen to all of the challenges of being in Year 4. A few highlights of the year:
Our trip to the museum, seeing all of the children immersed in the artefacts and then thinking about how they could turn this into a printed collage.
Seeing the Peregrine falcns at the Cathedral.
Our class assemblies, watching and hearing all of the children sharing their work with pride.
Our cooking sessions, watching the children work in groups to create and prepare vegetable chips and make bread rolls.
Our clay session, their clay models were superb
Our art sessions where we used watercolours to become landscape artists.
Watching the children improve their swimming skills.
Designing a new Harmony Pedge Badge for next year.
Seeing the children coming to school dressed as the job they were going to sign about in BSL.
Our stained glass window trip, watching the children design and create new glass windows in groups.
These are only a few highlights as there have been so many. Next week we will be enjoying a movie afternoon on Wednesday in the classroom. Please provide your child with a small snack - not nuts or chocolate based - to have during the film. Woodpeckers will also be allowed to wear non-school uniform on Wednesday all day, as we won this as an attendance prize.
Finally, a big thank-you for all your support throughout the year and all the staff in Year 4 wish you a good summer break with the children.
