Woodpeckers Summer 2 week 1

Welcome back to school! This week the year 4s have started to complete their MTC in school. Well done to all pupils who have completed these so far. These continue into next week so please keep encouiring children to practise their tables at home . In English we've been poetic, thinking about writing an acrostic poem about Egyptians. In maths, we've been looking at money and how to add and subtract money when using decimal notations. In Spanish and in BSL, we have been learning to talk and sign about the weather. In Spanish, the children translated a short extract from Spanish into English. In PSHE, we learnt about first aid this week. We thought about injuries nad acidents that can happen all of teh time and how we might help to treat the injuries. In PE, we start our rounders coaching this week with our sports coach. We made a bit of electricity in science, exploring circuits and thinking about how to add lights. buzzers and swiches.
