Woodpeckers Summer 1 Week 4

Date: 15th May 2025 @ 1:20pm

It is that time of the week again. Time for another blog. In maths we learnt to add and take away fractions. In English, we have been researching and learning about Tutankhamun in order to write a biography about his life. In BSL, we have been testing our skills signing about jobs and transportation. We worked collaboratively in topic to research and find out about ancient Egyptians. We found out about a specific topic and then answered questions thinking like historians, asking what, why, how and when about what we found out. On Thursday, we finally got to make our bread. We first thought about how flour is made and then we looked at different types of bread. We discovered that Egyptians would have made flat bread. We wanted our bread to rise so we added yeast to our dough. We really enjoyed eating our bread later in teh day, especially when we added butter and jam.. yummy! Have a look at some of the photos we took whilst making our bread rolls.
