Woodpeckers Summer 1 week 3 2026
Date: 30th Apr 2026 @ 8:30am
What a wonderful woodpecker week! Thank-you for supporting the children during their class assembly on Wednesday they performed beautifully. This week they have been learning about weather in BSL and put their hand, eye coordination to the test in tennis lessons. In swimming, lots of children are gaining greater confidence in the water now and some are starting to swim unaided - super stars! InEnglish, we are forging forward towards completing our humorous explanation texts " I thought I knew how a mummy was made". In music, we explored the pentatonic scale and used this to create compositions.
Just a few reminders as we move towards the summer. Please make sure children have sun cream applied before school. If you are sending sun cream into school please label the bottle clearly. Also, as we are now experiencing sunny weather, could children please come to school with sun hats. Finally, next Wednesday we shall be going to a sports event, please remember to sign and send in the permission forms.
