Woodpeckers Summer 1 Week 2

Date: 1st May 2025 @ 8:06am

A big thank-you this week to all carers and friends who came to support the woodpeckers in their class assembly. The children really enjoyed sharing some of their work with you and did really well coping with the whims of technology - IE the microphone not working. In maths this week, we have been learning to use the inverse operation and have been calculating using rounding and estimation. We've been challenged but have done our best. In English, we have continued to plan and write poetry this week. The children will have some of their work to share with you in our next blogg. In PE, we continued to develop our football skills and in swimming, lots of work is happening to enable the children to be better swimmers. In Spanish this week, we continued to learn about the weather, learning to say it is foggy, snowing, windy, sunny and stormy, all in Spanish. On Monday, we had a visit from the NASA mobile planitarium. The children learnt about the Interntional Space Station and got to ask lots of questions about the planets and space.
