Woodpeckers summer 1 week 1

Welcom back to school. We hope you had a lovely Easter break. This week we launched our English topic, writing humorous explanations texts. The children thought about how the Egyptians created mummies and spent time making themselves into mummies. In Topic, we had our Ancient Civilisations launch day. The children made and baked bread, built pyramids using clay bricks and worked together to solve lots of problems in maths using hieroglyphs. We also started thinking about sleep in PSHE. The children created Good Sleep Guides, thinking about what things help us to drift off to sleep calmly. 

Weekly attendance: 91.48%
