Woodpeckers Spring 1 week 6 2026

As we approach our half term break, a reminder that school is closed on Friday 13th February. This week has been busy. The children really enjoyed the visit from the Severn Trent Water, taking part in experiments around water and contamination. In maths, we have learnt all about decimals and how these relate to fractions of amouts. In English, the children have started to publish their adventure stories. We have had a focus this week through PSHE on acts of kindness. The woodpecker class created a very comprehensive tree showing all of teh acts of kindness carried out by the members of our class this week. Finally, a reminder that teh first Monday back, 23rd February, is our first swimming lesson. The children need to come to school in their normal school clothes - this can be PE kit. They need their swimming things and a towel to take with them.
