Woodpeckers Spring 1 week 2 2026

Hello all

This week has been full of learning. In maths, we have been learning to add, subtract and use the inverse operations to check our calculations. We also looked at Roman numerals. These will feature in our homework next week so hopefully we can remember the rules. In English, we have started to collect information about rivers and have started writing parts of our reports about rivers. In RE we looked at faith, thinking about signifiant figures who inspire us. In Spanish, we continued to learn how to ask questions about how old someone is and to learn about where people come from. Finally, our topic this half term is all about rivers and mountains. The children looked at a significant river local to us and one further afield. They then wrote about why and how rovers are important for life on Earth.
