Woodpeckers Autumn 1 week 1 25

Date: 11th Sep 2025 @ 9:21am

Welcome back.

We have had a busy week this week, the JLT hustings are on their way. The children have learnt lots about the Romans leaving Britain and the Anglo-Saxons, Vikings and Normans invading. We have begun thinking about how to look after animals so that we can write a non-chronological report over the next  two weeks. In maths, we are thinking about place value and what each digit is worth in numbers up to and incluiding thousands. We have also launched the Global School day, which will be happening on Friday 19th September. The children have brought home their homework this week and I thank you for encouraging them to complete this. We will also be starting Forest School on 19th September. Please ask for the letter from your child. These need to be returned to Mrs.Sanchez by Thursday 18th so that your child can take part in the sessions.

Woodpeckers weekly attendance: 98.3%

Well done to our star writers for their super report about the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons. This week they are Imogen and Riley.

Well done to our star of the week: Belicia for her super attitude towards learning in year 4
