Woodpeckers Autumn 1 2026-27

Welcome back to school to everyone. We have had a lovely start to the term. This week, the children have been learning about place value in maths. Thinking about the value of each digit in each number. In English, we have started to think about our genre for the topic which is non-chronological reports. In topic, the children have been learning about the end of Roman rule in Britain and have considered the overall events that happened between 450AO and 1066AD. In PSHE, we have considered rules and why we have them. 

A few things to thnk about: We have sent letters home about a trip to York on 21st October, 2026. We will be having Forest School lessons this half term. More information about this will follow shortly Finally, the children are bringing home their first homework this week. We have prepared a booklet for everyone. The children need to complete the spelling homework sheet, the multiplication practise, ONE maths sheets and ONE spelling practise words sheet.
