English

In English, we’ve had a very exciting time – the children have become real-life authors! After planning and drafting their own versions of the Supertato story, everyone has now published their final books.

The stories are full of fantastic characters, exciting plots, and brilliant vocabulary. We are so proud of the children’s creativity and imagination. The Supertato adventures they’ve written are truly super!

Maths

In Maths, we’ve been revisiting multiplication, division, and solving word-based problems. The children have been using different strategies to solve problems, including drawing pictures and using practical resources.

A big well done to Loki, who created some beautifully presented sharing circles to help with his division work, such neat and clear thinking!

Topic

This week in Topic, we’ve been learning all about the eating habits of animals. The children have discovered what it means to be a carnivore (meat-eater), herbivore (plant-eater), or omnivore (both!).

We looked at lots of different animals and learned fascinating facts about what they eat. Then, we used a Venn diagram to sort the animals into their correct groups. It was great to see the children thinking carefully and explaining their choices. Some brilliant teamwork was on display too.
