English

In English we have been exploring time words and how they help us order instructions clearly. The children have been practising using words like first, next, then and finally to sequence steps. We’ve also begun planning our own set of instructions for an exciting imaginary trip to the big city London!

Maths

In Maths our focus has been all about time. We’ve been sequencing events and learning to read o’clock and half past times on an analogue clock. The children have enjoyed using clocks to show different times and talk about their daily routines.

Topic

This week we’ve launched our new mini topic: ‘Taxi’. We started investigating different types of vehicles and identifying key features such as the chassis, wheels and axles. The children loved exploring how these parts help vehicles move.
