Maths

This week we’ve been exploring division using practical resources and drawn sharing circles to help us solve simple division problems. A huge well done to all the children for trying their very best, their determination and teamwork have really been impressive.

English

In English, we travelled back to 1666 and wrote our own letters to Samuel Pepys, describing the events of the Great Fire of London. The children worked hard to include important details about each day of that terrible week!

Topic

As part of our topic work, we’ve been recording the wind and temperature each day. The children enjoyed comparing the weather throughout the week and noticing how it changed. They’re becoming confident little weather watchers.  Well done Y1.
