Happy New Year!

In English, we explored suffixes and how they change the meaning of words, focusing on –er and –est. We also worked on improving our sentences by adding adjectives while writing about famous London landmark buildings.

In Maths, we have been practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, as well as counting forwards and backwards to 100 with growing confidence.  Elijah in particular had a really good go at counting each set carefully.

In our Topic lessons, the children proudly shared their extended home learning projects based on building London landmarks. We also discussed what makes a city and learned to identify both human and physical features of London. 

A massive thank you to all T-Rex adults for supporting the home learning task over the Christmas break.  The children were really excited to share their models, pictures and facts!
