English

This week we have been busy writing our plans ready for publishing our fact files all about us next week. The children have enjoyed thinking about what makes them unique from their favourite holidays, members of their families to special interests.  We can’t wait to see their final pieces next week!

Maths

In Maths, we have been exploring number bonds to 20, using these to help us solve missing addition and subtraction number sentences. The children have shown fantastic problem-solving skills as they used what they know about numbers to work out the unknown values.  We also spent time looking at measures, focusing on length and making comparisons.

Topic

Our Topic learning has been just as exciting! We have looked at how materials can be joined through stitching, exploring simple sewing techniques and seeing how fabric can be connected in different ways. The children were very proud of their first attempts!

We also explored portraiture. The children then had a go at making their own replica portraits.  Everybody did such a great job, well done T-Rex!
