English

In English, I have been so impressed with the children's character descriptions of Oi Frog. They worked hard to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops correctly, as well as using the conjunction ‘and’ to join their ideas together. Their writing has shown great progress, and they should all be very proud of themselves. A huge well done to all of T-Rex Class!

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning about number bonds to 10 and exploring fact families. The children have been developing their understanding that addition and subtraction are linked and that addition is the inverse of subtraction. We have used a range of practical resources and hands on equipment to help us represent numbers and solve problems confidently.

Topic

In Topic, we have been learning all about dens and why shelters are important. The children enjoyed designing their own kennels and outdoor shelters, thinking carefully about what makes a shelter suitable and how it can protect people or animals from different types of weather.
