Summer 2 Week 7 Blog

The children have had a fantastic week this week as it was Art week. They spent the week exploring their creativity through a range of exciting art activities.

Our theme for the week was "Good and evil characters"  and the children learnt about Disney characters who were good and evil. They learnt how to express emotion through their artwork. They watched the film Snow White and used this to think about the evil queen. They created clay models of the forbidden apple and painted them. They also wrote parts of the story to go with their models. They created portraits of good and evil characters and painted them. They then created wanted posters for their good and evil characters. 

To celebrate all their hard work,  there was an art Gallery for the whole school at the end of the week where all the project work was showcased. It was lovely to see the children's art work displayed for parents and carers to come and have a look around at.  The children were very proud of their creations! 

Well done to Monkeys for their hard work throughout this week and their incredible creations!
