Summer 2 - Week 5

Date: 4th Jul 2025 @ 8:29am

Week 5:

This week in English, we began learning about instruction texts. We learned that there are lots of different types including recipes, instructions for how to make things and directions for how to get somewhere. We learned that it’s important that the instructions are in order as we tried to follow a set of instructions that were not in order and found it very tricky and confusing! Can you spot some examples of instructions at home? Perhaps you could follow a recipe to learn how to make something tasty!

In Maths, we have been busy completing our End of Year 3 assessments. The children did so well considering it has been so hot this week!

In Art, we learned about Mosaics, and we made our own using small squares of tissue paper. We also started our new Art topic called ‘Beautiful Botanicals’ where we sketched different types of botanical flowers and plants.

In PSHE, we learned about what empathy is and we discussed some scenarios about how we can show empathy in different situations. The children then used PowerPoint to create some slides about how they can show empathy in different situations.

In RE, the children learned about the River Ganges and how it is important to Hindus.

Gentle reminders:

Please ensure your child has a water bottle and hat at school.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Bridgett
