Maths

In Maths, we have been consolidating our understanding of time, focusing on reading o’clock and half past. The children practised spotting where the minute and hour hands should be and used clocks to show different times. We also talked about days of the week. A special well done to Fope, who gave excellent explanations about where the hands should be on the clock.

English

In English, we have been recording our ideas about zoo animals in clear sentences. The children thought carefully about what the animals look like, how they behave and what makes them interesting. We continued to work on using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Topic

In Topic, we explored the colourful and imaginative work of James Rizzi. The children looked closely at his cityscapes and characters, noticing the bright colours and bold outlines. They then created their own art sketches inspired by his style, and the results were fantastic!
