Summer 2 Week 4 Blog

English: This week in English, the children have written their own Roman Myths. They have adapted and created their own version of “The twelve labours of Hercules.” They have included speech, adverbials, conjunctions and exciting vocabulary in their stories.

Maths: This week, the children have worked on measuring mass and capacity and volume. They have compared all of these and learnt which units of measurements are appropriate to use for each one.

Science: We have continued with our Light and shadows mini project. This week the children have learnt about the terms opaque, transparent and translucent. They have investigated different materials and described each one using this vocabulary.

R.E: Our Theme for this half term is “Why people pray.” This week the children have re capped what they have learnt about prayer so far. They discussed different types of prayer in religions and also how people can pray if they don’t follow a religion.

Thank you for your continued support in helping your child complete weekly home learning tasks, spellings and reading at home.
