Summer 2 Week 4
Date: 26th Jun 2026 @ 10:48am
The recent heat has meant we have had a slightly different week in school.
In Maths, we have been working through a range of reasoning questions that allowed us to apply and combine everything we have learned so far. The children worked hard to explain their thinking and show their understanding clearly.
In English, we have been planning and writing our own narratives using a story mountain. We carefully included an opening, a build-up, a dilemma, a resolution and a closing to create engaging and well‑structured stories.
In RE, we explored symbols and promises found in ceremonies. We then used this learning to design our own beautiful stained-glass windows, thinking carefully about the meaning behind our designs.
During BSL, we practised our general conversation skills by working in pairs, focusing on clear signing and confident communication.
Finally, in PE, we enjoyed a cricket session with the sports coach, where we practised our batting, bowling and fielding skills.
Despite the warm weather, it has been a busy and productive week full of learning across the curriculum .
