Summer 2 Week 3 Blog

English: This week in English, the children have continued exploring Roman Myths. They have created their own mythical creature that they will use in their own stories next week. They thought of interesting adjectives to describe their mythical creatures and gave it special powers.

Maths: This week, the children have worked on telling the time.  They have learnt how to tell the time past and to the hour. Many children have found the concept of time quite tricky so please keep practising this at home.

Science: This week the children have learnt about light and shadows. They have learnt about sources of light and light reflectors. They have also investigated which objects reflect light the best and found that shiny, smooth objects like a mirror are most reflective!

R.E: Our Theme for this half term is “Why people pray.” This week the children have learnt about the Hindu prayer called “Gayatri Mantra.” They listened to the prayer and thought about how it made them feel and learnt that Hindu’s say this prayer to help them when they are worried or struggling with something.

Spanish: This week the children have continued learning about vegetables.
