Summer 2 - Week 2

English: This week in English, the children have continued exploring Roman Myths. They have learnt exciting vocabulary that can be used when writing their own myths next week. They have also learnt how to extend their sentences using a variety of conjunctions to make their sentences more interesting to read.  

Maths: This week, the children have worked on fractions.  They have learnt how to find equivalent fractions and fractions of amounts.

Science: We have continued with our mini project of Plants and Reproduction. This week the children learnt about pollination. They have also investigated how water moves through plants and done their own science investigation using celery!

R.E: Our Theme for this half term is “Why people pray.” This week the children have learnt about the Lords’s Prayer. They learnt that Christians were taught this prayer by Jesus as a model of how to pray.

Spanish: This week the children have learnt the names of vegetables.
