Summer 2 Week 1 Blog
English: This week in English, the children explored Roman Myths. They learned about the important features, such as interesting adjectives and noun phrases, exciting verbs, speech, fronted adverbials and conjunctions to extend their sentences.
Maths: This week, the children recapped multiplications and division. They focussed on the long multiplication and bus stop methods and applied these skills to solve worded problems.
Science: Our mini project this week was Plants and Reproduction. The children have learned about the parts of a plant and their functions. They have also learnt about the life cycle of a plant.
R.E: Our Theme for this half term is “Why people pray.” This week the children have learnt about what prayer is and why prayer is important to many people. They learnt that some people pray to have time to reflect and others pray to connect with their God.
Spanish: This week the childlren learnt how to say the name of vegetables in Spanish.

- Please ensure that Ipads are recharged at home ready to use.
- Our PE day is Tuesday
- Forest school- Monday (Please ensure your child has suitable footwear in a bag.)
- Friday 12th June- Year 3 will take part in a bread making session. Please return the permission slip sent out this week by next Wednesday.
