Summer 1 Week 2

This week in Year 1 the children have been learning about verbs and describing them in BSL.  The children enjoyed an active BSL lesson where they had to watch very carefully at the verbs and how I described them.  E.g Walked slowly, danced beautifully.  All the children worked very hard on this, to ensure they were moving around the room in the correct way. 

In Year 3 the children were looking at the difference between an English story telling and a BSL stort telling for Deaf Awareness.  The children were able to share their ideas on how the stories were similar and different.  The children recognised that for the BSL story they had to listen with their eyes.  The children did very well and were very sensible.
