Summer 1 Week 2

This week in Maths, we have been developing our reasoning skills and solving tricky 2 step problems. Sharvil worked really hard to use mental methods when completing addition questions and we have all tried have to count in multiples when solving multiplication and division problems involving the 2, 3, 5 and 10 multiples.

In English, we have been learning lots of different skills to prepare for writing our recounts next week. We have written some excellent sentences using past tense verbs, time adverbials and expanded noun phrases.

In topic this week, we have been learning about William the Conqueror and the Bayeux tapestry. We learnt that the 70m long tapestry tells the story of the conquest of England by William, Duke of Normandy in 1066.
