Summer 1 Week 2

In Maths this week, we have estimated and rounded numbers, solved multiplication and division problems. On Thursday, we had a practical lesson outside on the playground where we put to practise our estimating and rounding skills.  

 
In English this week, we have learnt how to include prepositional and expanded noun phrases to make our writing more exciting, as well as using adverbs, fronted adverbials and subordination. 

In PE this week, we have learnt how to use a racket in tennis, practising how to hold it correctly and hit the ball carefully and with control. During athletics, we tried out different styles of relay races, which made the lesson much more exciting, as we worked together in teams. 

On Friday we had a non-uniform day to support the RNLI where we dressed up in blue, yellow or orange
