Summer 1 Week 2

Year 5 have been busy continuing to prepare for their BSL 101 exams, which will be towards the end of this Summer Term.  They have all received feedback for their Spring videos so they know which skills they have mastered and which they need to practise a little more. Over the next few weeks, they will spend time practising their signing and new vocabulary in conversations. They have worked really hard to use the correct hand shapes and facial expressions, which are so important in BSL.

We have also been busy preparing a group of staff members for their 101 exams too.  Learning a new language can be a real challenge as an adult, but they are all doing brilliantly.  Well done everyone!

In Deaf Club we have been thinking about how BSL is important to us.  We made a heart with our handprints in the colours of the Deaf flag.
