Summer 1 - Week 1

In English this week, the children started a new unit of writing linking to our new topic ‘Emperors and Empires’. We will be learning to write a diary entry, portraying the life of a Roman. The children have looking at different examples of diary entries and have been spotting the key features within each of them.

In Maths, we have been revising and building on our knowledge of place value. The children have been learning about the different representations of numbers, finding more or less than a number and comparing numbers.

On Tuesday, we had our Roman day. The children looked wonderful in their costumes. Thank you for your support with helping the children make their Roman Sheilds, they have all done a fabulous job! The children had a great day and it was amazing to see them being excited towards their new topic!
