This week learning about Deaf Awareness.

This week in school, we have been learning about the importance of Deaf Awareness. Our lessons have helped us understand how Deaf people and children communicate and the challenges they can face in everyday life and how we can support our friends, staff and parents.

Deaf Awareness lessons also taught us how to be more supportive and inclusive of our Deaf peers. Simple actions like facing someone when speaking, not covering our mouth, being patient, and learning a few signs can make a big difference. We also talked about how everyone deserves to feel included and respected at school.

Overall, this week has helped us become more understanding, confident, and supportive. Learning more about Deaf Awareness has been fun and meaningful, and it has reminded us that small efforts can help create a kinder and more inclusive school community
