Starfish Summer 2, Week 2

This week in Maths, we have been answering 2 step questions using addition and subtraction. On Thursday, we used the inverse operation to work out tricky number sentences. Abbie has worked hard finding the answers to number sentnces and used her tens and ones well. Tyler, added using tens and ones too! Well done!

In English lessons, we started to look at the features of a setting description. We decribed a candy and spooky castle using a wide range of adjectives. We also learnt how to use sentence openers, these help the reader to imagine the setting. 

In Topic lessons, we had fun making our own minibeast home. We used twigs, leaves and stones from the forest school to help us. We thought carefully about what bugs need to feel safe and secure and ensured to add these to our homes. Miss Eaton let us take them home to put in our own gardens!
