Starfish Summer 1, Week 4

This week in Maths, we have been looking at length and mass. We learnt how to measure objects using a ruler and metre stick. On Wednesday and Thursday, we compared mass and justified how we knew what the weight was. 

In English, we started our new book, 'Paddington at the Palace'. We created a story map and used this to act it out to our friends. We had fun finding the features of a retell story, Tyler identified an adjective, well done!

In Topic, we learnt about our past Queens. We looked at what postivie and negative impact they had on our country. Did you know, Queen Victoria started the traditions of decorating a christmass tree, eating afternoon tea and wearing a white wedding dress!
