Starfish Autumn 1, Week 4

In Maths, we have been learning how to subtract using tens and ones. First we had to partition the number, then we had to make the biggest number and finally, we took the smallest number from the largest. This was very tricky, but we all did amazingly. 

In English, we have started our new unit of work. We will be writing a non-chronological report about a significant person. This week, we have been finding the features. Melissa spotted an exclamation mark in the text, well done! 

In Topic, we have been learning about important activists. We have learnt that they protested to change laws, made lives better for others and won many awards because of this. Did you know, Malala ensured that all girls had the right to an education. She now lives in the UK and is studying at University.
