Spring 2, Week 5

Hi everyone,

English- this week we have looked at poetry and the different elements within it. We have learnt how to use alliteration, similes and limericks in a poem and practised writing some our own using these. 

Maths- we have been learning about statistics. We have learnt to collect data and place the information into tally charts, pictograms and create a bar chart. 

D&T- We have learnt about different mechanisms and which ones are used to make things move. We have learnt that sliders, levers, and linkages are all types of mechanisms. 

PSHE- We have continued to learn about the dangers online and how we can keep our selves safe. We created online safety posters to show our understanding of everything we have learnt. 

Reminders- 

• Please ensure all reading is recorded in your child’s reading diary. They should have at least 3 reads recorded in their dairy.  
• Home learning must be completed by Friday.
• Please support your child in practising their spellings ready for their Friday test.
• Roman Day- Tuesday 14th April (children can dress up as a Roman)
