In English, we have continued to read and explore the story of Escape from Pompeii. This week we have sequenced the story using picture cards and retold the story using talk partners. We then looked at descriptive language and wrote character descriptions about the characters in the story. At the end of the week we started to plan and write our own version of the story using a story map.
Maths
This week in maths we have covered Angles. We learnt about the 3 different types of angles (right angle, obtuse and acute) and how to identify each of these. We then compared the different types of angles and identified them in 2D shapes.
Science
This week we have taken part in celebrating British Science Week. We investigated what the best design for a paper aeroplane would be. We created an aeroplane, helicopter and glider and tested them out. We discovered that an aeroplane, helicopter and a glider fall to the ground much slower than a scrunched up piece of paper!
