Spring 2 Week 1

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, Bees class have been reviewing tenths and hundredths. We have also looking at dividing single digit numbers by 10 and 100. At the end of the week we began ordering decimals numbers into ascending and descending order.   

English
In English this week, we started looking at Explanation texts. We found out we would be writing an explanation text for Mrs Dewsbury all about States of Matter. We read the WAGOLL and made a poster of all the features we need to include in this.

Other Subjects
In Topic this week we began our first mini project ‘States of Matter’. We investigated how we could make ice melt faster and whether adding salt, heat, stirring it, or doing nothing, would have any effect on the time it took to make the ice melt. Our conclusion was heat and stirring sped up the ice melting.

Bees class really enjoyed swimming on Monday and look forward to their next lesson!
