Spring 2 Week 1

Welcome back to Spring 2 with the Super Sharks!

In maths, we have been working really hard to answer a wide range of arithmetic questions. We have solved addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fraction problems. Khadija did a wonderful job showing her working out to prove her answers. 

In English, we have started working towards producing a non-chronological report about Coastlines. We have read lots of great examples and picked out the features included within them. We have also started to collect lots of factual information to include in our reports. Did you know, the famous 199 steps in Whitby were originally made from wood?

We have been scientists in topic this week. We have been learning all about plants, how they grow and what they need to survive. We set up an investigation to see how different conditions affect the germination of cress seeds. We are looking forward to watching the tiny seeds change.
