Spring 1 Week2

Year 3 are continuing to develop their conversational skills, remembering different greetings and farewells to use.  This week we have learnt the signs for some hobbies and then practised using them by asking friends which hobby they like or do not like.  The children worked hard to use their facial expressions when showing their preferences.

This week, Year 5 pupils have started a new topic within their 101 curriculum and have learnt the signs for the main rooms in school.  They practised both their productive (signing) and receptive (understanding) skills by playing snakes and ladders with the new vocabulary.  We will then start learning how to give and understand directions around the school building.
