Spring 1 week 5

Year 5 have been busy this week writing a newspaper report.

Based on our class text, Farm Boy, the children have become news reporters.  The reporters have written pieces about a race between two horses and a tractor.  The children have used the features learnt to create some great newspapers.

In Maths we have continued our work with fractions, the children have been concentrating on improper fractions and mixed numbers this week.

As part of Internet Safety day the children have created comic strips advertising safety online.

This weeks star of the week is - Ellie - well done on becoming a clever koala and setlling in really well.
