Spring 1 Week 4

Our BSL Ambassadors have made a great start to their training sessions and are now half way through them.  They should be fully trained by the end of this half term. 

Their training has covered how to best support their peers in BSL lessons through modelling signs, demonstrating conversations with their BSL teacher and working with individual children or small groups.  We have discussed areas to look for such as correct hand shapes and orientation, along with whether children are using their dominant hand to lead.

We hope that our BSL Ambassadors will be able to support at future school events, such as meeting and greeting at parent evenings and school fairs, along with Sign Language week in March.
