Maths

In Maths this week, the children have been working on fractions. At the start of the week, the children were learning how to add and subtract fractions. We then moved onto multiplying and dividing fractions. All the children have really focused on this new skill and have worked very hard!

English

In English this week, the children have been learning about figurative language and have been writing their own sentences using similes and personification. We have also been linking our English work to the new topic 'Frozen Kingdoms', by writing a setting description based on the Artic. The children wrote their paragraphs using the five senses (see, hear, touch, smell and taste). 

Star of the week - Levi (for showing such a big positive attitude towards his learning, since return back to school after the Christmas holidays).

Star Writer - Sethumi (Sethumi has worked hard on to independently add similes and personification into her writing).
