This week in the Clever Koalas the children have been reading the book "Farm Boy" by Michael Morpurgo.  

In English the children will use their reading to write a diary entry.  Their diary entry will be from the perspective of the boy in the book.  Over the past few English lessons the children have been practising their skills using; passive voice, semi-colons and metaphors to create sentences that will fit into their writing.

In Maths this week the Koalas have been using subtraction and addition skills and mental maths to help solve problems.

Our topic lessons this week have started to focus around Life Cycles and Plants.  The children particularly enjoyed dissecting flowers.
