Sharks Summer 2 Week 3

This week in Maths, we have been looking at fractions of amounts and shapes. We are very good at knowing which number is the numerator and denominator and can explain what these numbers tell us when finding a fraction.

In English, we have been very busy writing our own castle setting descritpions. Emilia really impressed us with her ideas for a fluffy, brown bear castle. Toras also created alot of mystery with his golden castle hidden in a gloomy cave!

In Topic, we started our new mini project called Push and Pull. On Wednesday, we made our own slider mechanism. You can find a slider mechanism on locks and greeting cards. On Friday, we explored the lever meachanism. This can be found on many everyday objects, like scissors. We had so much fun making our own lever meachanism, we made picture with a moving football!
