Sharks Summer 1 Week 3
Date: 8th May 2025 @ 4:24pm
We have had a great week welcoming Mr Ball into the Sharks class. In maths, we have been learning about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We have also learnt about lines of symmetry and enjoyed completing an investigation to find out how many lines of symmetry different 2d shapes have.
In English, we have begun writing our recounts of Monarch day. We have worked hard on our drafts to ensure we include all the features reuired. We have chosen great time adverbials to help sequence our ideas and selected appropriate verbs and adjectives to add interest to our writing. Charlotte really impressed us by adding a question in her work to engage
In topic, we have continued our learning all about different Monarchs and the feudal system. We have learnt that hierarchy is a way of organising people in society according to how important they are. We know the feudal system was the hierarchy in Norman times: it had the king at the top followed by the tenants-in-chief, knights and peasants.
Star of the week: Charlotte (for her excellent attitude towards learning and determination to succeed).
