Sharks Autumn 2 Week 3

Date: 20th Nov 2025 @ 9:12am

We have been amazing artist this week! We have ben using primary and secondary colours to create our own paintings. We have used clay for printing, and paintbrushes to create a swirl effect. The children have really enjoyed creating their pictures, as well as looking at a range of different paintings from artists around the world.

We have been wonderful writers as well this week. The children have all written their own version of the ‘The magic porridge pot’. They have used their story maps to build sentences, creating a flowing version of the story. The children have used conjunctions, time adverbs and noun phrases in their writing, as well as a range of punctuation. We are very proud of their achievements!

In maths, we have been revisiting multiplication and division- thinking carefully about what each operation means. We have been using key vocabulary in all lessons- lots of, sharing, grouping etc. The children have been using the ‘circle’ method and their fingers to solve the questions and have been counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s confidently to solve them.

We have continued our team building skills in PE, focusing on our communication skills. We have also been practising our catching and throwing skills- using 2 hands and watching the ball carefully. I think we have some future cricket stars in the Super Sharks class.
