Perfect Penguins- Summer 2 Week 7
Date: 21st Jul 2025 @ 8:45pm
English
This week, we have started a new project on narrative writing. At the start of the week, we watched a video called ‘Little Boat’ where a small, red boat sailed through an ocean with various scenes happening around it. Penguins class then took part of the video, built a story map around it, and then wrote their own stories using their story maps to help them. We are going to publish these next week.
Maths
In Maths this week, we have been recapping our skills of multiplication and division. At the start of the week, we learned a new method for multiplying mentally, and then recapped short multiplication. After this, we looked at short division and then applied our skills to help us solve word problems.
Other Subjects
This week, Penguins class have had a lot of fun exploring our art mini project ‘Expressionism’. Penguins have learned all about the artist Edvard Munch and his painting ‘The Scream’. They explored the colours he used in this and how they make the viewer feel. After this, Penguins had a go at adding their own colour (using oil pastels) and expressive words (using newspaper) to photos, to create their own works of Art.
Penguins Achievements!
