Perfect Penguins- Summer 2 Week 1

We learned this week that, our classes are going to have their very own Reception Buddies, when we go up to Year 6! For this reason, we have looked at the features of a letter and explored some real buddy letters, to help us plan our own. We will start planning our letters next week.

Maths
This week in Maths, we started to look at time, first identifying minutes to and past the hour as well as recapping half past and o’clock. After that, we have been learning all about different types of angles and identified acute, obtuse and right angles.

Other Subjects
This week, we have finalised our script for our performance of Hamlet for the Children’s Shakespeare Festival. We are very excited to start rehearsing this! Our first topic this term is properties and changes of materials. On Tuesday, we investigated what properties different materials have, including which are absorbent, bendy, and strong.
