This term, we our learning to write a myth to entertain our reading buddies. On Wednesday, we looked at what features we needed to include in a Myth, looking at figurative language in more detail on Thursday. On Friday, we began to look at direct speech, to move the action along in our Myths.

Maths
This week in Maths, we have been learning all about improper fractions and mixed numbers. We have been looking at converting between improper fractions and mixed numbers, adding and subtracting fractions, as well as solving problems with these.

Other Subjects
In Topic this week, we learned about democracy and how early versions of democracy started in Ancient Greece. In Penguins class, we held our very own debate discussing whether or not we should get a class pet. The children came up with some well thought out arguments for both sides.
