Perfect Penguins- Summer 1 Week 2

This week, we continued our learning about Myths. On Monday we looked at different types of punctuation, that we need to include to make our sentences more complex. On Tuesday we looked at relative clauses, and how to use relative pronouns correctly. At the end of the week, we began mapping out, planning and writing our Myths.

Maths
This week in Maths, we have been recapping our rounding rules. We revised that if the number ends in a 0-4 we round down and if it ends in a 5-9, we round up. Later in the week, we looked at negative numbers and noticed the further left you go on the number line, the smaller the number gets.

Other Subjects
On Monday, we had the incredible experience of visiting the Wonder Dome in the studio. We watched a film all about the Internation Space Station and the important work astronauts are doing there. After this, we were able to ask any questions we had about Space. On Thursday we had a really fun day where we were able to come dressed in the clothes of the job we would like to be when we are older. We had an amazing afternoon talking about job roles and even had a visit from Gabiell’s Mum and Melson’s Mum! Thank you both so much for visiting and teaching us all about what you do in your jobs, the children really enjoyed it!

Penguins Achievements!

Star of the week- Alfie! For an improvement in his attitude towards learning and regularly involving himself in class discussions.

Star Writer- Amelia for a well-written set of enquiry questions with well-researched answers. An amazing piece of writing.
